Clinics. Events. Fishing fun in northern Michigan~
The original and preeminent exhibition of fly fishing cinema, The F3T is a one of a kind experience. Each year fishy folk of all ages gather in big cities and small towns alike to soak up films from around the world, spin a few yarns amongst friends and dream about casts yet unmade. In our 12th annual lap around the globe, the 2019 Fly Fishing Film Tour will make its way to theaters in more than 175 cities in eight countries.
How are the films this year? Good question. They're on fire! Wait. No... they're... on fleek? No, that's not it either. This year's lineup of films... would blow the doors off a '78 Buick. With an emphasis on the stories, characters and fisheries that help make up the vast world of fly fishing, the 2018 F3T will take you from Michigan to Honduras, from Wyoming to Greenland, from the mind of child to the heart of a musician, from the edge of your seat to the end of the earth and back!
In addition to showcasing world-class fly fishing films, the F3T is dedicated to supporting the local fly shops and conservation groups that form the backbone of our sport's educational and environmental efforts. Discount F3T tickets are available at more than 150 fly shops across the country. A portion of those ticket sales go directly to support the conservation work that keeps our favorite fisheries intact, healthy and available for us all to enjoy. In 2017 F3T events raised over $500,000 for conservation and fishing-related charities. In addition to fundraising, we're dedicated to providing a platform that builds awareness and support of groups like Trout Unlimited, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, Wild Steelhead Coalition, Bonefish Tarpon Trust, Utah Stream Access Coalition, Stop Pebble Mine and many more.We look forward to seeing you at a show!

Join us, January through March, for our COMPLIMENTARY fly fishing & fly tying social nights located in Mountain Grand Lodge & Spa Library at Boyne Mountain Resort! We will be hosting Tie-One-On on Monday evenings, weekly.
We're trying something new this year! We wanted to add a little focus towards these evenings, but still allow for the social aspect and personal creativity...instead of just being another tying class... So this year, each week will have a new focus. We'll start the evenings promptly at 6p with a short presentation on the week's focus... this could be rigging, a quick entomology lesson, how to fish a certain pattern, etc. Then we'll get to tying - let your imagination run wild. Maybe you want to tie a nymph, and Joe wants to tie a dry variation; perhaps you like what Bob is tying, and Steve likes yours... share your patterns with eachother, share your knowledge, and learn some more! Each week will have a new focus, and we all know there is a hole in your fly box somewhere (perhaps a few)...so it's a good idea to join us for as many of these as you can!
Each time you join us, you'll receive a discount card to use towards your purchase of fly tying materials at Boyne Outfitters. In addition, when you use this card, you will be entered into a giveaway at the end of the tying season. One card per session...so join us often for more chances to win!
Bring your vice, materials, and great attitudes to help combat cabin fever during the months where we are dreaming more about fly fishing than actually doing it. If you don't have gear, no worries...we have a selection of complimentary gear for novices, and a full selection of fly tying retail items to help stock your personal supplies.
